Gratitude for What You Have

Feeling envious of those around us has always been easy. Social media amplifies that tendency. We compare ourselves to others and find our lives lacking.

Instead of focusing on what others have, we should focus on what we have and feel thankful for it. People who have a gratitude practice are not only happier—they are also healthier!

One of the most important ways to bring gratitude into your life is by acknowledging and sharing your love for your husband, wife, or partner. Dr. John Gottman, the world’s preeminent relationship researcher, says nurturing fondness and admiration is one of the keys to keeping a relationship strong.

To foster more gratitude, start a daily journal and write down three things you are grateful for each day. Other tricks include saying three things you are grateful for each time you brush your teeth or whenever you walk through a doorway.

When we cultivate a sense of gratitude, our minds will begin to incline this way naturally and each day will be brighter and more filled with meaning. Be grateful each and every day and watch your world change with you.  I am so thank you for this opportunity to share with you all!
